My Body of Work explores the psychological experience of hospital environments through a series of graphite drawings depicting interiors and objects. Empty corridors, waiting rooms, beds and equipment become symbols of vulnerability, uncertainty and care. By removing the human figure, I focus on the traces of patients, visitors and staff embedded within these spaces, inviting viewers to imagine what has occurred or may be about to happen. The controlled monochromatic quality of graphite reflects the sterility and emotional restraint associated with hospitals, while tonal shifts create atmosphere, depth and unease.

Through observation, familiar objects become unfamiliar, carrying emotional weight beyond their functions. Repetition and stillness suggest the suspended experience of hospital time, where waiting can feel both prolonged and disorienting. My drawings examine the tension between hospitals as places of healing and spaces of fear, revealing how their architecture and objects can shape memory, emotion and our sense of fragility.
