My Body of Work explores urban landscapes at night, focusing on luminosity, artificial light and the transformation of familiar environments after dark. Through oil painting, I examine how streets, buildings and transitional spaces shift between familiarity and estrangement. Blurred forms, bokeh, reflections and areas of darkness dissolve architectural detail, while isolated light sources become points of visual intensity. The absence of figures transforms ordinarily inhabited locations into anonymous, liminal spaces, retaining traces of human presence while withholding a definite narrative. Through the relationship between photography and painting, I explore how each medium constructs reality, transforming ordinary urban environments into psychologically uncertain spaces where light reveals, conceals and distorts.
