My Body of Work explores the unpredictable and powerful relationship between storms and the ocean, capturing the contrast between the sea's natural beauty and its destructive potential to communicate feelings of power, chaos and uncertainty. By harnessing the fear and untameable nature of the deep, I sought to champion the ocean's underlying serenity, combining the alchemical forces of chaos and calm to reveal nature's glorious grey hues rather than humanity's black and white perceptions. Ultimately, these turbulent forces serve a vital, regenerative purpose, as storms wash away accumulated debris and cool ocean temperatures to provide a positive, life-sustaining effect on coral reefs and marine ecosystems.
